GHT, Goodhart
Technology Sdn. Bhd.(272270-D) was incorporated
in Malaysia on 3 August 1993. GHT is principally involved
in the manufacturing of precision injection moulds.
GHT became the subsidiary of SKP on 17 December 1999.
Since 1993, GHT has been involved in the precision
tooling industry which involved the design and fabrication
of high precision moulds used in the production of plastic
parts and components in the electronic and electrical
products industry. The involvement of GHT in mould fabrication
will enhance the strategy of the Group of improving
the quality of the moulds used in the plastics injection
moulding process. Better moulds are expected to reduce
the rejection level of the plastic injection moulded
parts and components in the said process.
The manufacturing of precision plastic moulds services
a niche market that requires capital investments in
technology and knowledge and the training of skilled
workforce. Hence, in order to distinguish itself from
other market players, GHT has in the past few years
invested in new machinery and equipment to improve its
capabilities in this area.
The products of GHT are mainly tools or moulds
which are fabricated in accordance with the specifications
of the customers. Tooling fabrication is a process whereby
a steel block is cut to form a plastics injection mould.
GHT has always placed great emphasis in ensuring reliable
and timely delivery of high quality products to its
customers. Hence, GHT adopts stringent quality control
procedures throughout its production process. Before
the start of the production process, the designs and
drawings of the products which specify the measurements
and specifications of the customers are discussed. The
product specifications are then entered into the 3D
CAM/CAD system for modelling and tool fabrication. During
the production processes, random samples will be tested
and inspected again in quality control inspectors prior
to shipping and delivery.
